    Description Text Adding Header Formatting

I have some text in the description of a character page that is being formatted as a header (#) without the formatting existing:

    Page in question: https://www.weasyl.com/character/63010/retro-fursuit

When I try to remove the spacing around the text it seems to keep the heading formatting and "spreads" it to other touching text:

I checked out the HTML in the text box using Chrome's dev tools and I don't see any symbols or other text hiding in there somehow.

    From https://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax

Markdown supports two styles of headers, Setext and atx.

Setext-style headers are “underlined” using equal signs (for first-level headers) and dashes (for second-level headers). For example:

    Code:
    This is an H1
    =============

    This is an H2
    -------------
Any number of underlining =’s or -’s will work.
Atx-style headers use 1-6 hash characters at the start of the line, corresponding to header levels 1-6. For example:

    Code:
    # This is an H1

    ## This is an H2

    ###### This is an H6
you should be able to escape this behaviour by using "\\", e.g.
    Code:
    Sample Text
    \\-----------

Ahh, oops! I only knew of the pound sign (#) method for headers before. Thank you very much!
I added an extra break and the "-----" is back to the line it was meant to be with the header formatting gone.
