    It's poop.

Poop story, poop writing, poop gameplay.

What happened to being a galaxy explorer like the first two games?

If I wanted nonstop incredibly boring action I'd play Halo.

Poop story and writing? Bioware is the absolute best at those and probably the best thing they did was to remove the annoyingly redundant and boring "exploring" from the first two games; it gives them more space for actual gameplay. Gameplay which is, by the way, pretty damn good and doubtlessly more fluid than the previous two games combined.

Bioware USED to be good at it. Mass Effect 1 and 2 have great story.

With Mass Effect 3 it's like they forgot how to write characters. Most of the issues you face in the game are easily avoidable situations that the characters could easily get passed if they were competent. Bioware turned all my favorite Mass Effect characters into complete idiots.

The "boring exploration" was what made Mass Effect an immersive story. I didn't play it to kill things, I played it to find out what happens next in the vast galaxy.

Now it's nothing but a standard lame combat game. Utter crap.

If you played it to scan planets for hours or drive a vehicle with terrible controls and broken physics and you don't like to kill things, maybe you should play something else than a FPS.

    Mass Effect isn't an FPS.

Japan doesn't understand technology in general, ironically.

Aww, I actually really liked Mass Effect. XD It wasn't perfect, but it's definitely one of my favorite games. They got rid of the vehicle portions after ME1 and the planet scanning thing did suck but realistically didn't last longer than half an hour in the grand scheme of things. Idk I barely remember I just remember all of the fun I had playing it.

I still really like Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Mass Effect 3 is where the series went to absolute utter crap.
