Looking for more artists to follow.

I just recently came to this site and I'm following a grand total of zero artists.

That being said I'm a kinda an elitist bastard so I will be extremely picky.

Don't even bother if you draw any of the following types of art:
    • Fetish
    • NSFW
    • Balloon Breasted women, or Ladyboys with illogical childbearing hips
    • Fanservicey in any way
    • Human x anthro
    • Romantic or Sexual art
    • Outfits your grandmother would blush at
    • Horror or Gore
    • Anything Religious or Anti Religious

Things I like include (but are not limited to):
    • Backgrounds/scenery/architecture
    • Armour and extremely elaborate clothing designs (expecially inspire by old fashions.)
    • Ladyboys and strong women. (and ladygirls and strong men, for that matter...)
    • Unique styles (I.E anything that doesn't look too generically animu.)
    • Experimentation styles
    • Digital Art, traditional art, mixed media, and everything else in between.

So yeah, comment below with either yourself or someone else and I'll check out your art and maybe follow you.

Note: even if I'm an elitist bastard and I dislike your art, I'm obv not going to be mean about it, so yeah, don't be afraid to comment.

Was about to follow you Noxid but... if you can't draw a minion I'm out!

Why don't you just... browse the content available Celesol? You will find art you enjoy, I guess...

I adore elitism, especially n art. It encourages the creation of pasionate, fine art, and perfection.

And for that, you won a follow yourself from me.

    With regards,
    A fellow elitist

Something I frequently told my students is, "What you take in is what you put out." So yes, be picky because you will naturally produce what you are exposed to.

Here's some of the artists that I follow (a list that is pretty heavy on the character design side): Stephen Silver, David Colman, Chris Sanders, Cory Loftis, Tom Bancroft, Chris Ayers, Paul Felix, Ben Caldwell, Daniel Lpez-Muoz, Nico Marlet, Craig Kellman, Tomer Hanuka, Tob Oreb, Milt Kahl, Jayie Hewlett, J. Scott Campbell, Jeff Merghart, Dave Atze.

Because it's 99% animal artists here, I'd strongly recommend people getting Chris Ayers' books. He's got a few out now, just barely released Year 3, and every single one of his books is fantastic and full of extremely well-designed animal characters. When I say animal characters don't think petting zoo people. I recommend people trying to push their designs past just putting an animal head on a human body anyway. But I think people here can really learn a lot from his art.

Oh, the reason why I recommend simple more graphic character designers is because using shape language, composition, contrast, and just good design principles in general is universal and are functions of skill. I'm not that interested in viewing artists with elaborate clothing designs or architecture because both of those are functions of original research and/or pencil mileage (time). For clothing and architecture I'd rather go to the source, and for intricate designs and insane rendering I don't feel the need to research methods for spending a lot of time on a drawing

    Here are some good ones:

    https://www.weasyl.com/~jsaarts
    https://www.weasyl.com/~ashascadence
    https://www.weasyl.com/~chaluny

There are many more I could list too, but I would also recommend browsing the latest submissions. You can find some really neat people there.

Sometimes blind foraging can yield amazing results, but not always! I figured asking would be the quickest, most efficient way.

Oh wow, my elitism actually benefited me instead of biting me immediately in the ass the way it has a want to do? I'm speechless.
