My old school had a very memorable motto that has stuck with me to this day.
This translates as "What you give will be your only permanent riches", or as my French tutor paraphrased it, "You get out what you put in".Quas dederis solas semper habebis opes.
I've since used this as a personal motto of my own. It serves as a source of motivation, and a strong reminder to give things my all, and I've never needed to find a better one.
Does anyone else have a motto, either one of your own choosing, or a family motto or anything like that? What's the story behind it? And if not, would you want one?
