Rock, Paper, Scissors...

[Mei]

"Im ok... No really, im fine!" She said desperately as the creature picked her up. "Nononono! Eek!" She yelped as he hoisted her helplessly by the waist. He carried her so her head barely missed the ground, hair dragging through the grass, tail flopped over her back. He set her down on her feet gingerly. He gathered her kindling and patted on her head. She grinned and nodded as he left for a bath.

She set about getting the fire ready, retrieving a flint from her pack. Sev approached and touched her shoulder. Her body sent a signal of pleasure that rushed from her head to her toes instantaneously and made her weak at the knees. She blushed at the offer but accepted. "I'm feeling adventurous today," she grinned, "adventurous and dirty. I do need help with my back."

The satyr just walked leadenly into the stream. The cold water made its skin have some goosebumps but it didn't seem to react otherwise. It didn't even really attempt to swim. A slow blush crept on its face as it thought of Sev with all the fish in his hands.
"He catcsh so many fifsh." It said to itself in admiration and then dunked its head under the water.

It floundered oddly as if trying to swim but not being graceful or coordinated at all. It tried to grab at the fish with its four arms... but it only had two, and the fish kept slipping away. Had it ever had four arms? Six? It did not know. Most things only had two arms... or four legs. Right now it only had two. Frustrated, it finally came back up for air, gasping and spitting out water. It made choking sounds before finally breathing normally again.

Once it recovered it tried once more. It just could not swim (or thrash the water) fast enough. The fish would swim away or even double back and swim past it as it tried to grab at them. It let out a bellow of anger underwater, causing bubbles to rise. It wanted to be like that pretty male and catch many fish. Tumor-like projections roiled under the surface of its skin, bones, cartilage, and muscles forming rapidly. A fresh set of arms and hands burst forth from its body, supported by another set of slightly smaller pectorals which slithered about until they anchored into its ribcage. Its eye rolled into the back of its head and it spit out the remaining air in its lungs from the pain. It floated up to the surface of the stream, face-up and twitching.

Miraculously enough, one of its new hands was indeed clutching a fish and would not let go of it. The satyr was trying to breathe but mostly it was gargling water.

Mei heard the gurgling sound from behind her and spun around. Her eyes went wide with horror at the sight of the satyr floating and twitching. She stripped her towel off and dashed down the embankment in the blink of an eye, gracefully diving into the river.

She pulled the helpless creature to the shore with all the strength she could muster. Did he just sprout new arms?... "Sev!!" She screamed. "I don't know CPR, help!!!"

Rush, Rush!



So many times in life, the unexpected happens. In the rush of events, some individuals find themselves in the thick, others way behind. Some, just totally lost. Not knowing what just happened. Not... Sev found himself thrilled by Mei's sudden declaration of adventurousness. Yes, Mei not the only one subject to hormones. But then... something else unexpected happened. Their guest... what Sev had called "our third"....... *

Mei dragged him from the river as Sev stood there, lantern and bottle dropped to ground, a profound, deep ache speared through his Third Eye hard enough to leave him staggered, almost ready to fall on his knees. Yes, his attention had been drawn to their "Third's" thrashing, just at the moment said creature went through... Wham!... a rush of Spirit Energy slammed through the front and out the back of his skull. The impact like... like... being stabbed, again. But this impact was fortunately short. Sev remained on his feet... remained conscious... rushed to help Mei with barely the sense enough to snatch his lantern off the ground, the better to see...

... "What the...?" Breathless, Sev found himself staring at a second pair of arms much like his own, only not on his body. So he could perhaps be forgiven for being startled. This was something he'd never encountered before. Totally unex... well, all romantic thoughts had been startled out of his body, his hormonal warmth doused in ice water. He shivered...

... "Here......."

He handed her the lantern, then took charge. He wasn't a medic, but he knew enough to check for breathing and pulse, enough to....... *

Yet, he had no idea what had just happened.

It sputtered, still not breathing really, but at least it was conscious. A bit dazed mostly. The second set of arms twitched a bit and then gyrated as if feeling out their new functions. Its wrists and elbows cracked for a moment as the tendons tightened more against the joints. The one fish was trying to fight, but his new hand gripped it solidly, crushingly. Eventually it went limp. The satyr itself was coughing but suddenly-
"Hurrkkk!" It jerked forward and retched out some of the water it had swallowed. Nearly hitting Sev, but it more so just spattered near his feet. It threw up one more time and then finally took a full breath.

It blinked weakly and let the fish drop to the ground, unmoving. It was unconscious or very possibly dead. The satyr looked at Sev and Mei for a moment, then reached up at the two happily.
"Friendsh!"
It grabbed at them with both set of arms to pull them into a hug. Its sopping fur still had a musk to it... smelled worse than wet dog.

"It catcsh more fifsh!" The satyr blurted out, pleased with itself. Its new right arm pointed to the still fish on the ground.
Despite it's elation it looked incredibly tired. Even more gaunt than before... Let alone it seemed oblivious to the fact that it grew another set of limbs.

[Mei]

Mei watched the events unfold with a horrified look, holding her breath. When the satyr sputtered out water, she finally took a gasp of air and relaxed her muscles. She had been kneeling in the mud next to him, helpless to the world. She looked over him once more and her jaw dropped. He DID spout more limbs. "What the h-..." she began, but was immediately taken into an embrace with Sev by the satyr. She was unable to move her arms or breathe but she managed to grunt "It... looks like you are... better... ooph!!"

Mei glanced at Sev once she was released from the grips of death and used her head to motion to the water with a grin. She dove back in to cleanse the mud from her fur. She surfaced with her head partially out of the water and began to blow bubbles playfully at Sev. All of her initial timidness had gone down the drain with the recent hormone and adrenaline rushes....

Armed and Ready...



After eating five fish heads, being hugged by a wet, furry being that smelled like... well, Sev felt glad their Third responded to his first aid so quickly. Yet he couldn't help but feel a tad nauseous. Just a tad. Not enough to regurgitate those five fish heads. Thank goodness for a sturdy stomach! And thank goodness the ice water shot to his nads started to fade... yes, their Third's hug had pressed Sev right up against Mei. So far, the closest physical contact they'd shared. Shoulder to shoulder. Hip to... hip. This sudden, unexpected emergency now, apparently, over. Head still ached right behind his Third Eye. But it wasn't like he hadn't had that level of pain there before. Came with being Kah'Saun, gifted with Second Sight.

Gifted with the ability to "see dead people." Amongst other "supernatural" phenomenon.

Mei... she was blowing bubbles in the water. Sev yawned, but had the presence of mind to set his lantern near the shore and retrieve the body wash bottle. Heh... in passing, he poured some on Third, then said...

... "Rub this into your fur all over, then rinse carefully in the river..."

... before continuing on into the river himself. Even tired as he felt, even more so after what had happened, far be it from him to refuse such an invitation! Though... whether he'd deliberately or accidentally entered the river with his gun-belt on, even he couldn't be sure, if asked. Didn't really matter, since his gear, designed to be waterproof, didn't mind. He'd just have to be careful, if/when Mei took it off, not to lose it in the river, what with darkness now established, that last bit of sun... gone. But not forgotten. Though Sev's mind and body focused on Mei, in this moment. Wave of bottle, flash of teeth in lantern's glow...

... "I pray to all the Deities ever created... no more emergencies!"

Sev moved closer... offered Mei the bottle held in clawed hand.

Mei watched Sev as he approached. She continued blowing bubbles as he poured body wash on the satyr, careful to not spend too long near him. This made her laugh, bursts of bubbles exploding on the surface. She took a deep breath of air and steadied her stream of bubbles. She stood up as Sev approached. Her purple and pink hair contoured her frame, settling on her back and barely covering her breasts. She gazed into his eyes and accepted the bottle he held out to her.

She moved to the shallows, waterline just above her ankles. She held out her right leg, pointing her toe to rest on the smooth rocks on the river bed, and squeezed some body wash onto her upper thigh. It smelled good... very good; some sort of exotic flower that she had never come across before. Glancing briefly towards Sev to make sure she had his full attention, she slowly worked the wash into a lather and worked her fur from her upper thigh to her ankles, then back up. She did the same for the other leg, then motioned with her head and a seductive smile for Sev to join her. Her eyes flashed with lust in the dim light provided by the lantern.

Once he reached her, she grabbed him by his belt, carefully removed it, and gently tossed it to the shore a few feet away. Having her paws in such close proximity to his... equipment... sent a shiver of excitement down her spine, breath shorter, and made her mind focus on only desire. She handed him the bottle, embraced him and ran her paws down his back. She gave him a playful lick on the neck and turned around, moving her hair off of her back over her right shoulder, indicating that he was free to touch her and help shampoo her back. She was grinning to herself, as she had left her front side and chest available for the wash as well... she held her hair to the side with one paw and waited for Sev to take charge.

The hairy satyr just looked up at Sev curiously as he squirted body wash on its body. It then looked to the discarded fish after Sev walked off to join Mei. It got up and scooped the fish up in its upper set of arms. It walked to the river, not really noticing the others, and rinsed the fish off as it had learned by watching Mei. It then walked over and set its newly caught fish with the other dead fish that were left.

It walked back to the river gingerly on its cloven hooves, tail trailing behind lifelessly. Its eyelid was drooping and its eye kept rolling tiredly now and again. It went into the water about up to its buttocks. It didn't really wash itself though. It zoned out and just stood there for a while with its four hands playing in the water.

Suddenly it gave a short screech from its throat. The second set of arms had tremors running down them uncontrollably then they visibly atrophied. They dropped to either side uselessly, twitching. It whimpered painfully. It turned to face the other two, easily able to make them out despite it being darker now. At this point its whole body was shaking. The satyr started hyperventilating. It took steps toward Sev and Mei. A horrible expression was on its face and its eye beseeched them to help it.

All The Deities...



Sev hadn't meant any harm... didn't honestly know what to do with this saytr. What he could do to help such a being in the here and now. So yes, he'd been "careful" not to spend too long near him. And no, Sev was neither cruel nor heartless. But he wasn't perfect. He was young, male, nearing the end of his Wanderlust, from the way his thoughts turned. Still had that oh so recent memory of how this saytr had somehow managed to hurt him, if only in brief. Wondered if.......

....... Mei. Sev knew that "look" in a female, no matter her species. Even her, so different from him... yes, they had Life in common, and all that went with it. Not of his own species, but he could still look at her as he'd looked at others not of his kind, and find something attractive. Something to...

... Mei. Sev felt that familiar thrill when she removed his gun-belt, then embraced him, her lick warm and wet on sensitive neck-hide. Well... every inch of his hide, sensitive. An environmental "sensor" that helped his species survive what their world's environment threw at them. Able to feel air currents as other beings could feel the rush of water. Ohhhh, yes! Her touch. His body vibrated with the sensation, every part of him alert as he took her offer, poured a small amount into his left primehand's palm, and started lathering her back. Slow, gentle, careful with his claws...

... "Mei..." His nostrils flared... "I must let you know... there will come a day... I can feel it coming soon... a day when I will return home, take a mate... father offspring. I've felt your touch... see and smell your interest. If knowing this affects you in any way.......*"

Sev left his last words to hang, his whole being so intently and intensely focused on the moment... he failed to immediately register what was going on with their Third. Perhaps he could be forgiven for that.

Perhaps not.......
