Practice
Sometimes it's not as straightforward as just doing what you were originally taught or taught yourself. If you find yourself shaky then make sure to brace your hand in a way that is comfortable for you. My main point though is that drawing different kinds of lines/shading/values can require a different grip too. Some visuals on different techniques and why to use them.
I improved my line work by practicing these exercises.
They are boring as hell but they do work:

I have some experience with tattooing, and we use to practice with weighted pens & pencils.
Do not overload it though (precaution: 1 to 2 pounds max, start with less), and take breaks.
Just google some pencil weights or use a fishing sinker + tape.
Disclaimer: serious cramps, or wrist/hand injuries if you're NOT careful.

Are you drawing from the wrist? Use your elbow and shoulder in your strokes, and practice, practice, practice.
Now,
let's go play, together...Together under the
clearest of blue skies.
