    Documentary recommendations?

I'm wanting to make myself feel better about having a Netflix account, by which I mean actually using it for things and not throwing money away every month, and I've been wondering if there are any documentaries or educational series there that people would recommend.

History and nature/geography are usually good bets as far as topic of interest goes, but I wouldn't limit myself to just that.

    Any ideas?

David Attenborough's Planet Earth is right up there. If you're into military history, The World at War is still one of the best. David Burke's Connections offers a unique take on the history of technology, and I still have a soft spot for Carl Sagan's original Cosmos series.

Come to think of it, just get anything David Attenborough does. The sound of his voice alone will raise your IQ by 10 points.
