The problem is that the way you voice this opinion sounds arrogant and educating rather than helpful.

"Anyone who took that class" - Remember that Weasyl devs do this in their FREE TIME, and they are NOT PAID for it. Don't treat them like they were paid professionals. You don't even know what background they have. Some may have an actual degree in development, others may not.

If you feel you know better, then try to adapt a humble and helpful attitude rather than a scolding one. For example, instead of throwing "anyone who took the class knows it!" at their head, you could attempt to actually EXPLAIN it in a constructive manner.

Don't be dense and you might see that while my tone is rather arrogant, it's direct to the point instead of running around. We don't praise e for effort. We praise because of the results. No one really cares about the people in the background. If the product isn't that great, people won't use it. If Weasyl wants more people to join, a lot need to change instead of constantly throwing "Muh Tags!" around. This issue and discussion appeared a year ago before I left (I just remember I registered on 2013 not 2014) and it's still around.

Just try mentioning the "You can't search artist name unless they tagged it" and the first reaction you will get is "Wtf, seriously? Let me try it."

Then later mention "If you want to search for it, you have to add user: in front of the tag" and watch as they say how it's stupid and inconvenient.

I refuse to believe a whole year gone by and they still think searching like this by default is a good idea.

You know what? I stopped reading you, just like many others probably did.

Pro tip: stop being an asshole and maybe people will actually listen to you.

Orrrr... We could get back on-topic and recommend artists that draw humans to OP?
    Just a thought. c:

BY THE WAY, there is a dropdown menu on the search page, which lets you search for users, without tags or whatever. just saying.

This is why modern forums need a "Backhand" button.

You two either need to make a (somewhat) graceful exit, get back on topic or take your grievances to private messages if you can't let it go, otherwise the pointless bickering will get a thread lock and then where does that leave this discussion?

Anyway, back on topic. I'd also recommend myself since most of my themes are general fantasy, and most of my anthro art is actually from commissions. I'd most definitely love a more diverse audience!

A few other artists that might overlap a bit with furry but are definitely not exclusive to that singular theme:
    https://www.weasyl.com/~prophetelm
    https://www.weasyl.com/~tristanalexander
    https://www.weasyl.com/~ironeater
    https://www.weasyl.com/~alibo
    https://www.weasyl.com/submissions/caelan
    https://www.weasyl.com/~cowboypunk
    https://www.weasyl.com/~spoonface
    https://www.weasyl.com/~weeburd

They're all active artists and posters as well. Apologies if any of these might have been mentioned already but I honestly don't think that's the case. They all deserve more exposure than they currently have.

I will apprehend the initiative and proudly raise my hand as well. A lot of my works are of the non-furry kind, in fact, I am a writer first and foremost and the furry thingie is somewhere deep below other passions of mine. I think it would be a heinous err to allow talent and potential be limited only to anthropomorphism, especially the kind of anthropomorphism conveyed by the furry fandom.
Though yes, non-furry artist here; Though I deal with literature, and outside the internet: percussion and historical reenactment and crafting.

Please try and stay on topic - if you want to argue, please do it between each other instead of disrupting the forums for everyone else. Alternatively, you can also block users and not see their posts. You can do so here:

    https://forums.weasyl.com/vbulletin/...?do=ignorelist

Further arguing will result in action being taken.

As for artist recommendations, I'd recommend myself, but I haven't produced too much art the last year or so unfortunately! I used to do space-type stuff, some abstract/random stuff and occasionally post some of the 3D works I've done.
