There are some interesting / potentially informative views about the matter on IMVU's own forums, as well.
Most of them negative, towards IMVU and not Furaffinity. On IMVU's own site.
Which is pretty telling.

The repeating statement that Furaffinity and IMVU staff keep making is that there are no changes to be had,
but a number of IMVU's users express distrust and discontent with that.
Keep in mind that these are users, not just people that signed up recently from FA to complain. Most of which have been there for at least a few years.

It sure doesn't lend hope or credibility to the future of FA (then again, a lot of FA's decisions haven't, either, so I guess that's on par for the course with this shit).
But if the site really wanted to plant the final nails in its coffin, it sure is making strides towards that goal.
