    Human; Fuman, Furmen, vermin, furmin? (lol...)

    If humans are completely non-existent in your story, it's probably best to avoid that word.
    You could just use different or synonymous nouns and adjectives.
    E.g: "Have you no <humanity>!? (decency, compassion, honor, etc)

    Instead of using "Fur-kind" or Humanity. Why not refer to them as specific animal species, family, or class.
    (Felidae/Canidae; Felines,Canines, Mammalia/Aves; Mammals/Avians...)

    You could just butcher those words up to suit your needs, I guess.

    "People" and "person" are actually pretty good terms, because they aren't actually the same as being "human". We've had times in the past where you could be a human being, and not be considered a person, so it's not that much of a stretch to expand the concept of personhood beyond the H.Sapiens club.
    Like humans, they could identify themselves by the name of their family, tribe, nation, or even planet.

    They could refer to thier gift of thought and speech as just that, and call themselves something like "The Blessed", or "The Gifted"
