Looking for band logo design

Hello, everyone!

I am in need of a band logo ... sort of. Actually, I have one already; I came up with the design, and I sketched it out. It's just that it's all hand-drawn and scribbly and terrible. What I need is for someone with logo design experience to clean it up and vectorize it, possibly with a few tweaks along the way (no one ever said my version is perfect; I'm not exactly a professional logo designer). Ideally, I'd be looking for a nice big basic version of it that could then be used as a stencil/template/selection from which whatever effects and such could be applied to make the final album covers, like how this became this, this, and this. I need that initial starting point template.

Also, ownership would be handy and solve a lot of problems down the line, but I at least need usage rights (it kind of defeats the point of having a band logo if I can't, like, freely use it on albums and such, you know?) and possibly permission to fiddle with it for minor tweaks down the line (like if years later I decide the stem of this or that letter should be longer or shorter.)

Assuming you are U.S., you may benefit from requesting the resulting logo be a work for hire. If both parties consent to this designation, then you will be the legal author and owner of the logo. The artist will have only the rights you subsequently license to him or her.
