Can someone just link a place to download whatever this SSL thing is? Not to be a bug, but I seriously can't figure out how to make SSL work with mIRC, and I've googled a couple of SSL information, all with different links on which SSL to download.

Is there an SSL link you'd recommend?

It's the first link that comes for 'mirc ssl'.

I read the rules, but am still wondering: Would it be okay to advertise an art stream (general rating) that is going on within the chat, or should that be kept strictly to the Art/General forum and never in the chat? Thanks! :3

You're free to advertise art streams as long as you're not spamming the link or anything like that. :>

Random coincidence that I find this announcement when I'm supposed to be making an IRC chat server.
I hope yours works better than mine does at the moment :XD:
    I'll get it eventually.

It's been so long since I've used IRC. Feels good to use it again hehe

EDIT: I'm using IceChat and I can't get it to connect for some reason.
Not sure what going on. I have my SSL on and the right port info too.

EDIT: Fixed it lol I was having issues with my Stunnle ^^

    I have a secret.
A dark, furry secret with big teeth.
Less a secret, really - more a wolf.

Unable to connect to IRC network. I can't connect on port 6697 because it simply dies after trying to make contact, and if I try to use the default port 6667 I just get connection refused.

    Code:
    [11:18:48 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Looking up irc.weasyl.com
    [11:18:48 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connecting to irc.weasyl.com [173.245.78.39] port 5666
    [11:18:48 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connection to irc.weasyl.com established
    [11:18:48 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connection lost to irc.weasyl.com
    [11:21:20 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Looking up irc.weasyl.com
    [11:21:20 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connecting to irc.weasyl.com [173.245.78.39] port 6667
[11:21:21 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Unable to connect server irc.weasyl.com port 6667 [Connection refused]

    [11:23:48 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connection lost to irc.weasyl.com
    [11:23:56 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Removed reconnection to server irc.weasyl.com port 6667
    [11:23:56 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Removed reconnection to server irc.weasyl.com port 5666
    [11:27:35 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Looking up irc.weasyl.com
    [11:27:35 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connecting to irc.weasyl.com [173.245.78.39] port 6697
    [11:27:36 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connection to irc.weasyl.com established
    [11:27:36 PM][06-10-14] *** Irssi: Connection lost to irc.weasyl.com
I've checked my firewall and port settings and I got nothing blocking, I even setup to forward a port to connecting to the server on the specified port 6697, but nothing still, I still get the connection drop on 6697.

I did a ping and this is what I got

    Code:
    PING irc.weasyl.com (173.245.78.39) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from eisler.weasyl.com (173.245.78.39): icmp_seq=1 ttl=51 time=179 ms
    64 bytes from eisler.weasyl.com (173.245.78.39): icmp_seq=2 ttl=51 time=202 ms
    64 bytes from eisler.weasyl.com (173.245.78.39): icmp_seq=3 ttl=51 time=200 ms
    64 bytes from eisler.weasyl.com (173.245.78.39): icmp_seq=4 ttl=51 time=199 ms

    --- irc.weasyl.com ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 4 received, 0% packet loss, time 3003ms
    rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 179.155/195.543/202.617/9.536 ms
Not sure what's up cuz I have my ports open and forwarded.

@ShadWolf - When you're connecting on 6697 are you using the following command?

    /connect -ssl irc.weasyl.com port 6697

? It does the same thing twice but might yield a result.
