    Hey guys

I really want to improve my stuff so Im asking for some general advice based on my gallery.

Some of my stuff is about a year old but I have recent stuff I submitted days ago.

I really want advice about my coloring in sai but if you notice anything else help would be appreciated. Links to recorces are also helpful

Your lineart is pretty smooth, and you've done a good job at mastering the basics. Now it's time to ramp it up by adding some nice dimensional shading! I've noticed that you're using a lot of bright primary colors and bold, cartoony lines, which is great if that's what you prefer. But you're using soft airbrush shading with a flat color that you can barely see, which is not great. Those two things don't normally go well together. Your shading needs to be more defined, darker and bolder to make an impact and draw interest. You can still use soft shading, but you need to do it in a way where it adds something to the picture.

Remember, there's a lot of different ways to use SAI to acheive a look with shading. IF you don't like one method, use a different one!

you could really work on your dark and light tones. When I look at the large image I can see the shadows but in the thumbnail I cannot and that makes them look flat. making flats is not a bad thing, but if you are trying to make shadows then its not working
If you like you can try mixing colours like you would do with paint, or just go for a deeper tone and keep it more toon like. Either works.

you may also want to work on perspective a bit, it will really help your BG's
and textures might be nice to add at a later time.
I'd say work on the perspective and the lighting/shading first!

I've got a small collection that I like to use for tutorials and such

The fist 3 sections may come in handy to you, and some of the other ones later

(such as life drawing, or some of the other random links which peak your interest)
