I started uploading pictures 'cause when I was only someone who browsed I became less and less satisfied with what I found online.
It's not an issue of quality but more of personal preference. For pictures that are made to look "sexy" I started feeling like I was disgusted with more things than the average viewer of this niche.
So what did I decide? To post pictures and fill the niche I couldn't expect anyone else to fill. For a long time I thought I was essentially posting only for myself and a dozen others. Eventually I started receiving notes of people praising my work and saying how they were glad there were artists like me around.
That fueled me with even more motivation. I've been drawing and uploading more often since the surge of thanks. It might sound stupid seeing as most people view the kind of work I do as cheap perverted non-porn or childhood corruption, but it does makes me happy to know other people appreciate "bara" that doesn't contain extreme stuff.

Now I try my best to get better at each picture and to keep my gallery under strict rules as not to alienate any part of my watchers. The last part is something I've had other artists doing on me that resulted in my desinterst. I'll make sure not to do the same.

All in all I like to think like I make a significant difference. My current struggle, skills aside, is trying to consolidate my liking for certain sensitive "kinks" with my goal to make the content as safe as realistically possible.

I upload here cause it's a nice quiet place to show off my stuff and get some critique on it. A big bonus for me would be just being able to find some doodle buddies and just draw stuff with them either out of learning or just for fun.

I miss doing something like this. The last time I drew together with someone else was like 10 years ago...

No reason really. It's an indicator of how prolific I am/am not? To easily show people?

The thought of someone getting even a tiny bit of enjoyment out of my art makes it worth it to me. If someone looked at a picture I drew and thought, "cool". The favs and comments are great too, because it shows that they appreciate it. I have very low self-esteem so when people like what I draw it's a huge confidence boost.

Because I have story I'd like to share. Because I like seeing people react to what I draw. Because maybe there's a chance I could get a little money from it. Because I want to prove my college wrong.

I post art because I like keeping my skills up and sometimes the feedback and critique is a motivator. And I like having things in a neat little collection I can flip or scroll through easy to see my own progress. Also I does make for a handy way to keep backups, at least of JPGs and GIFs and smaller filetypes like that. Selfies, occasionally, I post because I work out and it's a similar idea. Except people tend to like those for different reasons (when I'm on top of my game, well-oiled machine is only slightly metaphoric ).

Because I like to share my art with others and learn from others. I also like to show people how I grow and improve over time. People can go through my gallery here and on deviantArt and find that my art has completely changed over the years. It makes me happy to look back at those times too. Sure, some of my old stuff can be a bit annoying to me, as I am a perfectionist, but nonetheless the improvement raises my mood.
