    Critique please

I'd really like any advice you've got on how to improve this pic because something looks 'off' about it to me.Both written advice or redlines are appreciated.

I'd especially love feedback on the dog, it's only the second time I've drawn a pitbull and I want to make sure that it looks like the right breed of dog. The boy is supposed to be in his late teens but I'm worried that I've made him look too old so let me know what you think of that too.

I'm a beginner artist so I can't really red line anything for you, but the old age feeling coming from the boy is because it looks like there are some serious crow's feet around the eyes, and maybe a bit of wrinkles from around the mouth.

Thank you! I'll smooth out the face more.

the wrinkle fix will help a lot in making him look younger.

Maybe it's just me but the angle of the picture feels kind of odd. It's like, the leg is supposed to be pointing more toward the viewer based on the body but is forced all the way to the left to make it easier to draw.

    Thank you!

I've fixed up both and you're absolutely right about the leg.

Now that the back leg isn't as hidden I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out where it should point. I feel like it should be spread further but I want the dog to be
standing over it because its body is so long. What do you think?

That looks great, I think you did a good job making he boy look really happy and a bit younger then he did before. I feel like it looks more natural in this pose then he did before. I think you may want to scoot his butt forward a little bit though.
Also I really like the dog now, she seems more natural looking. I think it was just a few of the smaller details that where missing. It's sometimes hard to get a dogs face just right as well (trust me i have this issue too) but making the mouth go downward really seems to help make it less cartoony, if you know what I mean.

PS: don't forget the dogs tail!
