What do YOU use your fursona for

I have two fursonas. One I use for RP and art commissions. And one thats the main character in the story I plan to write.

What do you use your fursona for?

Do they have a backstory that goes with them?

Don't really care for the persona thing much, but I just derped out a character whilst learning to draw a little bit back, and decided to keep it and just use him as a sort of online avatar.
The character was never supposed to really represent myself.

So, yeah. I guess I use my characters just as something to be seen as online, but mostly to always give me something fun to draw.

The purple lizard is the special case though since he gets added to stuffs like fan fic and fan art if I feel like it.

Like Hewge my slothsona is more of a 'face' that I wear around the fandom. I don't RP or anything.

Mine is a representation of myself.
Instead of having art done of me, I have it done of my 'sona doing things I'd do.
He is me and I am him.

My fursona is just sort of an abstract portrait of myself. I've basically only ever had art commissions.

As an avatar mostly.

She's also a character in a story whom I've been slowly moving to the background since she's sort of me but not at the same time. I wouldn't say she's really a sona or whatever, but close enough.

She's just something to draw, when I get bored enough.
Something I made up, for the sake of making it up. Or because it's "obligatory," as a furry.

She doesn't really have any specific backstory. Her story is implied to just follow mine, with an anthro animal coat of paint slapped on. I don't see the point in giving her a different character, if she's basically supposed to be representative of myself.

I wish that people could tell the differences between "OC" from "fursona." Really.
My fursona is a representation of me. I also use her as an online image/icon so people may recognize me easier. No background story here.
