Just watched "Grand Hotel" last night. It's a black-and-white German movie from 1932. I was supposed to write down what each stock character represents but I found it difficult to follow (Idk if I mentioned it in this thread before but I am horrible at following movies, which is why movies for younger crowds are probably best for me to watch)

I watched Ernest and Celestine today, although we missed the first 15ish minutes cause of the huge and unexpected traffic we hit on the way. (it's a limited release childrens film with a bear and a mouse so we had to drive to the one theater showing it).

It was really cute, really really cute. Also nice and light for the most part, I still cried on a few bits, but eh any little thing about belonging/family will make me cry so ehhh? I'm a big baby lol.
Fish heads! Fish heads! Rolly polly fish heads! Fish heads! Fish heads! Eat them up! Yum!

I rewatched Thor: The Dark World. I enjoy the movie, but its weaknesses were more obvious to me than the first time I watched it. I think a lot of the movie's failings have to do with conflicts between the director's vision (darker, grittier, compelling) and Disney's vision (goofy, lighthearted, low danger). So you get this film where the plot tries really hard to make it sound like Malekith and his Aether weapon are the most dangerous things to happen to the universe ever, but then it proceeds to undermine that sense of danger at every turn. At no point did I think that Loki, Thor, Jane, or any of the other characters were in any real danger, which I don't think is what the director wanted.

I just finished watching The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

Oh my god... I'm shaking as I type this. The ending left me with a gaping hole in my chest.
