    Anyone else migrating here?

    Thanks to this lovely thing http://projects.weasyl.com/soft/ I've been able to add my watches much faster than before, but.... still at 293 of 993 artists watched on FA... time consuming as all... Thankfully once I'm done I can be done with FA and never look back ._.

    #1 thing I noticed when transferring watches... less porn artists here and more ARTISTS here... meaning ones that do traditional and amazing works of art with actual fur texture among other things. Guess you could say there is a definite difference in art here.

    Thats a nice observation to make. A lot of users here are taking the time to help each other improve their work and focus more on actual art side of things. For my part I've also noticed some amazing traditional works in the galleries which is always something I strongly admire.

    There is a preponderance of porn on FA because porn = popularity there. The site's owner is a notorious pornhound and frequently let his favorite smutsmiths bend or break his own site's rules. Consequently porn became the "golden ticket" for artists on FA, and FA turned from "art site" into "porn dump". Combine that with the site's extremely poor policing/filtering of content (incorrect or missing Adult/Mature tags are rampant on FA) and non-pornographic art feels like it's in the minority there.

    Well I'm not entirely sure that I count as someone who is migrating here since I only recently joined FA. honestly It's not to my taste, but I might just be in the wrong place for the crowd I am looking for.
    Basically a new home for my art. Looking for a good community were I can post art and meet new artists with similar interests. I used to be fairly active on DA but too many people from that site are just, well too spread out. Also a lot of them close their accounts and change them and blah blah blah, so I lost quite a few people I used to watch. It's just kind of died for me so I'm hoping maybe I can find some new friends here

    A big part of why I like certain sites is the forum communities attached to them and I have to say I'm definitely liking the welcoming art-focused atmosphere...I feel like I still have my feet and tail in a few different waters but this puddle is pretty darn nice.

    I love all the benefits of Weasyl over FA and such, and the change in overall quality of art is definitely noticeable. What I'm most excited about, though, is that there's a ton of people here that I haven't talked to in a while. Sure it's not as important of a reason, but the community here is great. c:

    I really do love seeing Artists and Furs I have known for a while show up, makes the site way more homey and easier to settle in.

    After recent events there I have migrated over not like I had much going on over there anyway. I don't know all that many people and well I left my general tab on. *shrugs* I just didn't like what I was hearing and I like seeing other things so knowing this was a newer site also helped. ^^;

    I've never had a fanbase so moving to Weasyl was pretty easy.
