Censoring Stuff I Want To Look At

Frequently I'll get something in my inbox and when I click on it I get:

"Whoops! This submission's assigned tags suggest that it may contain content you do not wish to view. "

I don't know what it's basing this suggestion on. I have no tags set to filter, standard or advanced and my browsing preference is set to the max preference, 18+ Explicit . There is no way to get around this warning with a "view anyways" button of any kind, only "go back" and "go home". I don't know what's triggering this (given that I have no keywords set and can view all material set), I can view pretty much everything else, including porn, that other people have posted. I am only getting this with one artist. How can I change this?

It looks like you have advanced filters turn on. Change it to standard and it should work.

What do advanced filters do when you have 0 advanced and 0 standard filters set in your filter area? What are the "invisible" advanced filters so I can avoid tagging my stuff as such when it need not be filtered to others?

    FancyOwls,

Sorry for the delay in this reply. Here's how I understand the difference:

Basic filters: ALLOWS all content at all rating levels, except for ratings/tags you specifically block
Advanced filters: BLOCKS all content at all rating levels above general, except for ratings/tags you explicitly allow

If this isn't clear from the filter page or the help docs (this is entirely possible)! I'll create a Redmine support ticket to create better documentation for this.

Does this help you out? Please let us know.

Naming them Blacklist and Whitelist filters would do a lot to make them more self-explanatory, I think.

This is an excellent idea. I've logged an issue request for this. https://redmine.weasyl.com/issues/262

I completely agree with this. It took me a minute to understand the difference between them. Naming them "Blacklist" and Whitelist" would have much it much simpler!

For the record, the filters have been renamed according to piñardilla's suggestion. If there are any more problems in this area, let us know.
