So, there's a few barriers to this site really taking off. I'd like to see it succeed, and the latest big outage proved it still has a chance. I think something that'll help tremendously in that regard is an archive function.

A lot of artists have a huge body of work they've created over their years of drawing and they wanna display them, still. But one of the things that stops them from doing that is the fear of spam they create. So, why not have a function to upload quietly? Especially if you can set a 'drawn on' date that puts it behind other stuff in their gallery.

If you set it up right, other people could even hook up gallery-upload tools at some point, allowing a program to just punch in the date, file, description and tags while it uploads the old gallery in mass, while not flooding users inboxes with art they've already seen.
