Very few tones bring nostalgia to mind, but this is definitely one of the bigger ones.

Buying one of those Mayflash N64 Controller-to-USB converters was simultaneously the best and worst thing I've ever done to myself. I can download nostalgia now as opposed to bringing a TV into my apartment and trying to get my actual console to work. I finally beat OoT after 13 years, I'm trying to get good at Mario Kart again, and I remember how much I liked Mario Golf 64 for whatever reason. There's almost so much time in the day, though, and spending 4 hours of my waking life daily doing absolutely nothing of value has begun to add up.

I think it's still worth it. All those N64 games bring me joy.
Look at all the fun we're having.

My first game ever was Spyro, it's still my favorite game of all time.

I played every Spyro game that came after it and even though I prefer the first, I found something to like about all of them. When I beat Dawn of the Dragon in 2008, even though I didn't think it was very good, the ending message made me cry, because it basically said "Thank you for playing our purple dragon's games for 10 years" and I thought that meant they were ending the franchise. I felt so upset about it that I played the first game again almost immediately.

Then Skylanders came out and essentially kicked me in the balls. What's worse, the game was announced on my birthday. Gee, thanks Activision. >_>
If you say "plz" because it's shorter than "please," I'll say "no" because it's shorter than "yes."

Now, feel sad. Luckily I still own these games, I'm going to go crawl up in a corner and play them now, thanks to this thread.

    More nostalgia:

This thread is a curse and a blessing. On one hand there are now several games I'm wanting to play through again, on the other hand I have definitely found my happy place
