Haha, thank you kindly Eduard! It's hard to judge from the way the picture is taken and the fact that mohawk perspective changes dramatically with how your head is tilted, but the tallest spike puts me at slightly over 6' (thats counting boots, I'm a shortstack).

It very much is quite the production, but I do not do it every day. Goodness, that would destroy my hair. What my usual regimen calls for is this: The days I usually put my hair up are my "off" days, the days I don't shampoo it (attempting to make your hair defy gravity when it's freshly washed is NOT advisable and is a nightmare). First I put product in sparingly called "matte manipulator" which is this thick, vaguely gummy stuff that helps the hair stick to itself. After that its backcombing the entire thing with a hair pick. Then comes liberal application of hairspray with regular hits with a blowdryer while I hold the hair up. I give a special nod to Rilvor for helping with the spikes since it's easier with him shaping the tips. I can pull off a fan with no assistance though.

All told the whole process takes about 30-45 minutes. There was a stiff breeze that day and they didn't even budge.
