Umm... I think you kinda missed the point there; Uluri's suggestion was not "add an ad system to Weasyl" but "post an ad on FA's ad system for Weasyl" (to get people to come here from there).
At a guess the issue may be not resizing in a linear colour space, resulting in detail loss at the low end.
From experience helping to develop/roll out this feature on IB, some things to consider:
* You'll have to store usernames as user IDs in your description/journal/comment/profile/etc. markup.

Generally, unless a male animal has an erection or the picture is focused on the genitalia specifically, it's okay for all ages. That's one opinion. Personally I don't like how animals just trot...
There was another thread about community tagging. It didn't end so well. But when reading it I found it had a few valuable ideas, so I figured it should be mentioned here. And because I'm here, you...
I know what the About page says; and what some staff have said about their intentions for Weasyl, in the thread Metsys linked and elsewhere. For the reasons they and I touched on, I maintain that in...
Weasyl was made by the furs, and the furs keep it. Weasyl's software could drive almost any art community. But Weasyl.com serves a largely furry community, and probably always will without...
I have a tough time understanding the idea that we're too focused on general art and not enough on furry art. Weasyl itself is just the platform, the content all comes from you guys. There aren't...
What I said about focus last year still largely applies, despite concrete progress on the technical front. It's basically what Bornes is saying now: if Weasyl keeps trying to present itself as all...
what
New things loading from cdn.weasyl.com are often doing so hella slow (i.e. a few KB/sec, or failing to load). For example, the first few eggs on the browse page when I'm the most recent...
It's very cute, but it looks like the eggs broke Weasyl's thumbnail CDN or the scaling system.
Perhaps too many people going back in their submissions to see how they look, overloading the cache?
Vista is still supported for security patches, but MS made IE 10 rely on changes in graphics acceleration made in Windows 7.
To be frank, I'm sure they could have made a version of IE 10 that...
Ikr Like, fuck content ratings why should we bother rating anything at all!
[...]
I say we get rid of tags too, those are pointless, obviously.
Tags help you find more of the porn you want to...
I've had my ratings tweaked a few times, and I draw goddamned cartoons.
Well, no wonder. There's still a lot of people out there who believe in a god, or gods. You might offend them!
I'm a sucker for graphs. it'd be neat to have some data and graphs to show the difference between peak hours and the attacks, but I can completely understand why that might not be feasible to...
Heck, I'm browsing them when Inkbunny is up! (For the most part. Had to muck out a few cesspits.)
I imagine he has other things to do, though.
Depends on whether they can throw $$ at it and know where to go. Plenty of rich kids out there.
That just means that they're trying to use CloudFlare, but the shared security certificate on that box hasn't updated yet to include the forums domain name. (You can't actually get to the site...
I wonder if they have a kickstarter
Heck, you could just pay me. Cut out the middleman! ;-D
How long do you think it'll take to bring everything back online?
Depends how long they're willing to pay more to keep us offline than we're paying to stay online. :-)
It's not valid, because CR is not a valid character by itself; it must be included as the unit CRLF if used as folding whitespace. CR is not a member of NO-WS-CTL (which defines the control...
When receiving a thread subscription email, I noticed that the DKIM-Signature header had doubled newlines after every line, starting after "i=@weasyl.com;"
Double newlines in an email indicate the...
The reason this is coming up is that the vision thus-communicated does not match up with reality. Weasyl is a furry site. Most of its staff, user-base and content is furry. Why? Non-furs - both...
The image you attached doesn't seem to be there anymore . . .
