View Full Version : [SITE] Acceptable Upload Policy needs to multiply!

So when I was uploading my avatar and banner image I noticed that there was nothing about what was acceptable to put there.

I found it easily enough by scrolling down and looking for a likely link, but it would probably prevent a lot of mistakes if those pages had either a link to, or the applicable sections spelled out right there.

A little extra work maintaining it if it's not just a link, but I bet it would save time in the long run not having to deal with avatar and banner porn.

In the submission page, making the "ratings guidelines" open into a new window would be good so it doesn't wipe out someones post in progress when they click it. Better though, if the Clean/Mature/Adult ratings were right there. It may be the submitters fault for being too lazy to click, but you still have to clean up their mess in the end. :)

Site looks great though.. going to test upload some stuff!

I agree with you on this, I actually just made that mistake >> I had no clue what counted as mature or adult because it's different on each site.

These are actually really good points!

I haven't used the banner page yet and have had my avatar for months now so I totally missed that those pages did not state what isn't acceptable. And having the guidelines open up in a new window is a very good idea, I know how frustrated I've gotten personally when my post gets cleared.

Thanks for bringing these up!
