Wow! What's the deal with the whole "Pokemon Go phenomena? I was vaguely aware of the Nintendo game, card trading and kids cartoon back in the 90's, but this resurgence over 20 years later is unprecedented! Has anybody played the game? What exactly is the concept? You have to walk around with your smart phone searching for imaginary little creatures? (If only I had the time, ha ha!) I'll guarantee that if anybody has any original Pokemon for sale (http://www.used.forsale/pokemon) that they will shoot right up in value as a result of this. The classifieds are going to be flooded with them. Has anybody got any Pokemon Go experiences to share? (I hear in some cases people have been set up to robbed as a result of it????)

I'm sad because it requires a data plan to play and as a poor that lives in canada I can't afford that kind of luxury.
Well, I guess I can always live vicariously through other people's memes!

It's been normal for me, for the most part.

Been playing since it launched, and it's definitely a lot of fun. The servers tend to crash a lot during the midday, unfortunately, but most people learned to play it at night instead. Or be like me and brute-force through the crashing.

I've met quite a few people playing it too, and it's the first time I really got to socialize with anyone in town like that. Hell, it actually made it in the local papers here, and that was definitely something cool to see. Pokemon is one of my favorite series, so it's definitely nice to see GO take over like this!

I have heard some of the stories about people being too distracted and/or people walking into bad situations, but in the end, you just gotta use common sense for that. Plus the game kinda drops a warning about that every time you load it:

But yeah, as a fanboy and as a gamer, I'm definitely happy with it.

That is scary that people are being set up in that way. But I guess this is just a more commercial version of the geocaching app in all reality. https://www.geocaching.com/play

I only catch Pidgey and Rattata. So I have turned into the real life Youngster Joey: wearing shorts and training my top percentage Rattata

Pokemon Go is really nice, I just wish they would implement the other generations, and shiny Pokemon if they aren't already in. Sadly, my smartphone can't handle the game because my OS is too old but I do play on my sister's sometimes.

The teams are starting to adopt a gang mentality and I'm gonna be really pissed off if people ruin something that is bringing people together; by next year we'll probably be reading about a shooting related to team rivalry being taken way too far. Mystic already vandalized what looks like a museum or park sign by spraypainting "Team Mystic" on it.

Its basically The Pokemon Companys answer to people wanting a Pokemon MMO

I literally just got a new phone and plan so I could play the game properly, and T-Mobile has this awesome deal where the Pokemon Go app doesn't count towards your data usage.

Its super fun and it gives me an excuse to get out of the house and get some exercise.

Some people are kind of douchy about the teams they're on though. I'm team Mystic, but only because Articuno is my favorite legendary bird. Some people are taking it way too seriously.

I stopped playing it. One reason is my location here, my "city" has like 3-4 pokestops.
