I'm giving up on that Blaziken plushie. I hate how it's coming out: the head is too tall, and the eyes look tacky and the head is off-center. I did start a patchwork blanket and it's coming out great! I need to use the droid to get pictures of it since my webcam won't do a justice.

Drawing, I did some eye doodles since I need to work on my eye style.

Thanks! No, the handle wasn't hard at all. I just took three thin pieces of fleece, sewed the tops together so that there is a v between each one, braided them, and then sewed up the bottom and attached it. The hard part was attaching that by hand. X-X Sewing is a really awesome thing to get into, I'd suggest giving it a try. When there's an order, I'll probably end up confusing myself which is why I prefer to randomize it. XD

Heck YES for hands! Can never get enough of 'em, they're so challenging but so worth it. :) I did a bit of redline for you if that's alright, just some tidbits I've picked up that can hopefully be of some use to you.

http://i.imgur.com/tO0JeVE.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/2fz72rN.jpg

(I wasn't entirely sure on the perspective with the bottom right hand (the one I redrew) so winged it a bit on the fingers direction) The first suggestion I'd recommend which I'm sure you've heard before is to always use a reference. Not just to look at and copy, but to actually study how certain points/sections connect with another (breaking them into simple shapes helps, but you can go even deeper and more detailed to watching how the skin overlaps at the webbing or the way finger bones mold in with each other). A big part I found was that you've done the fingers without joints, as well as having them straightly aligned together at the base when they should be curved (like how you've done with the tips of them).

You've got a good start though, and mentally preparing yourself to do a page of hands is a hurdle on it's own. I think with some more practice and just studying your own hand (feel it all over if ya have to, that's what I do! :)) you should be able to improve drastically. Can't wait to see more from ya, Glaring! <3

Thank you so much for this critique and the redlines! ;v; Hands have always been a problem for me, so I try to add them into every drawing I can to get better.

I do break the hands down into shapes, I just erased the construction lines for the sake of keeping it somewhat neat. If I can remember to, I'll leave them in next time; erasing them has become a knee-jerk reaction for me. I'll doodle up another sheet and see if I can draw them better.

This was a project that has been sitting in my room for a year or two, so I took it out a few months ago and continued work on it to finish it up and give it to the neighbor's daughter before her and her family moved. This could have turned out better, but I can't complain too much over something I started a year or two ago.

The yellow is fleece. The inside is cotton or muslin(bought it so long ago I don't remember), the puppy's eyes, nose, and mouth were hand-embroidered. The head is a change purse that comes apart with two snaps on the side of the head and a velcro strap on the back to attach it to things. The entire thing is hand-sewn.

I did one of those art summary things, and I'm really happy with the progress I've made! ;v; I can't wait for what 2016 holds for my art.

I completely forgot to update this. I finished Chryo's art trade not incredibly long ago.

I'm doing a lot of sewn stuff for a flea market me and my sister want to go to in April or May, pics forthcoming!

Sadly, that flea market sale didn't happen, but I still made some stuff for it! I made some shark plushies, but I'm waiting until I have five until I snap some photos. I made one patchwork bag and I've been working on another one on and off. I'm also working on plushies for real life friends since I graduated high school and wanted to give them a gift; those pictures aren't being uploaded until they get the plushies since two of them know my online name and I don't know about the other one. With Art Fight coming up, I'm working on re-making character reference sheets now. Ugh, I can never remember to keep this thread up-to-date. x-x

Pictures of the bag!

Did this not too long ago. Next piece I do, I want to experiment with adding lips.
