Decided to get around to posting up a sketchbook thread, maybe motivate myself to do more drawings. It'll be mostly studies and concepts for pieces.

I apologize, but my first row is going to be picture-heavy and on my cell phone because I don't have access to my scanner (not that I'd really care so much about scanning images out of my sketchbooks anyway...)

If anybody wants a further explanation of any of these, I'll be more than willing to give it.

Excellent start, I particularly enjoy the life sketches. Not much more to say except keep at it!

Those are really nice. You're getting me to want to go out and draw people again.

My boyfriend calls me a creeper for it, but I always feel like I'm sliding backwards when I don't try to fit it in! These were actually the first after a drought and I didn't feel too comfortable again yet, otherwise I'd usually do that sketching all in pen.

Wouldn't be the first time! My roommate and I are both art majors, so we have a habit of drawing each other :P

Schiele is a big influence of mine. I love the way he works his watercolors and distorts his figures

Oh, wow!!! Lovely life drawings!!
I really love Schiele too, still don't own any of his artbooks sadly (they are expensive for me), but I would love to have this one especially: http://www.amazon.com/Egon-Schiele-Erotic-Sketchbook/dp/379133431X

This is the particular collection I'm interested in owning! It's full of information about his life and his work :3

UM, quick question. Is it OK to post adult sketches if the thread has an NSFW warning in the title? Can they be embedded or do I need to just link to them?

Really nice stuff, love the faces on a few of them there.
Hope to see more when your sketching again.

I've got few things I'm going to scan/photo later this week and post, just gotta wait until I'm not too busy to fuss with it

Here's a dirty sketch I've been working on for the last couple of days. Some ideas/help on that bent leg and general critique are definitely welcome.

Wow that's really good!! Would the foot on that leg be pointing away though instead of inwards? I'm not sure if that'd be a more comfortable pose?

Possibly. I was going for a more twisty kind of pose, but it may not be working. I know I've been known to twist my legs/feet at weird angles when sitting on stuff, though.

Went to an open figure session tonight! Did a 2 hour pose with a nude model, painted in watercolors.
