So, I'm saving up for a phone. I've been using an LG Ally for the past three years and my Droid 4 broke (I actually assisted in its breaking... and didn't have insurance!) so now I'm looking for a good, inexpensive phone that is similar to the ones I've had. I love the slide out keyboard and android OS. And the phone has to be compatible with Verizon.

Any links to stores would be great!

And by inexpensive I mean around $100 or under. I'll be keeping an eye out on eBay too

Physical keyboards are all but dead outside of feature phones (which are themselves on the way out.) I'm guessing you are already aware of your smartphone options because there's really only a few that are still manufactured.

I only know of maybe two which have the slide out keyboards, the Droid 4 and another by LG, I think. Didn't know if anyone knew of anything else.

The other I see listed for Verizon is the Galaxy Stratosphere.

Honestly, I'd consider saving that extra bit and getting a Nexus 4 (http://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_4_8gb). It's essentially a top of the range phone at mid-range price. Well worth it, and it pretty much leaves the rest in the dust.

If a Nexus is totally out of the question then something like the Samsung Galaxy Ace or HTC Wildfire S will probably be the most you'll get for that sort of money.

I use a Razor M. It doesn't have a slide out keyboard but I believe it can be bought for pretty cheap. About 50 USD to 100. It has a vibrant screen and is hard to break. I find it superior to the previous droid model I had.

Isn't that $50 with a contract though? So you'd be tied into a deal of some sort too?

If I'm wrong then that's one seriously good deal for a phone like that.

I believe its 100 regularly so you are probably right. I haven't looked into the price too deeply. Mine was a gift. However its a great phone and cheaper than some other smart phones for the quality.

I would suggest a Samsung Captivate Glide. I have a regular Captivate and I love it, this is basically the same phone but with a nice physical keyboard. <3 The screen is beautiful and since its a bit on the older side its can be found for pretty cheap but its a very good dependable phone. :3 If you get an unlocked one off ebay you should be able to get it on Verzion but that's something you'd have to ask them as I'm not sure (I have Straight Talk myself, much easier.)

Review on the Glide. (http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/samsung-captivate-glide-at/4505-6452_7-35033579.html)

If you are into ROM flashing this has a ton of nice ROMs to play with too. <3

Thank you for the suggestions. I do really like the Glide and Stratosphere. The Razr is an option too since it's less expensive than the others. Now I just need to pick
