View Full Version : [SITE] All pages in www.weasyl.com/* have the title 'Weasyl'

I'll go ahead and call this one a bug rather than feature request, because all pages that exist on Weasyl...well, already exist!

Trouble is, they all have the exact same name. 'Weasyl'.

What this means is, after you've browsed around a bit, this is what you see if you want to hit the 'Back' button to go back - or, if you want to use your history search in a browser (which will use URLs and page titles to look for any specific thing)...

Well, I'll let this image speak for itself.

If I want to browse back to the image 'Pandy (https://www.weasyl.com/view/7690)', as implemented now, I personally don't know to search for either of these things (or portions thereof) to get a hit:
"Weasyl" (because every page is named this, so there's no uniqueness)
What I likely WOULD search for:

I think Inkbunny basically gets page titles right (example: https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=319796, whose title is "Val by Gypsyx by valereth < Submission | Inkbunny, the Furry Art Community
"), but at the very least, some kind of distinguishing titles and title structure for pages like this is needed. Thanks!!

I admit, this is something that needs to be implemented.

This has been something that irked me a little. Glad to see it's not just me being nitpicky.

Most agreed. Itd be nice to be able to look something up that you may have seen earlier but not being able to tell what it is a real pain :/

It also lowers the sites page ranking from search engines.

pages have been given titles.
