Message Center

I've looked through the suggested feature list and the only thing to add besides adding a sidebar to switch between message types (e.g. Submissions, Characters, Journals, and so forth) is that the ability to drag-and-select would convenient for people like me who like to look through various pieces of art and then select in batches to remove.
I'm of the mindset that I at least like to look at the images in my inbox before deleting them. If I'm away for a longer period, messages pile up and then I tend to break them down by day. So for me, being able to highlight several items quickly is handy, versus clicking each checkbox separately. This is more of a convenience than a flaw. It would be a nice extra to have though!

Text Editing

From what I can tell, BBCode is the editor of choice among various sites, though I would like to see alternatives such as Markdown available as an option. I use it on tumblr, as well as reddit, and find it incredibly convenient to use while adding some styles to text and it can be written in a plain-text editor as well. I tend to write my posts down in a text editor of some sort before posting, as I've lost a few replies and journals on other sites due to my own error as well as things out of my control.
Again, another convenience for those who know about it.

For those who are curious, here's a link (http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/) to what Markdown is.

Examples of use:
*italics* or __italics__ -> italics
**bold** or __bold__ -> bold
